A Joyous Gathering: ESWA Shines Bright at IFAC 2025

The Enugu State Women Association of UK& Ireland (ESWA) turned up the heat at the recent Igbo Festival of Arts and Culture (IFAC) held in London on July 12, 2025. Amidst a vibrant tapestry of 100 Igbo communities, ESWA’s canopy was a beacon of warmth, laughter, and mouthwatering delicacies that had everyone stopping by for a taste of home.

From the moment the festival gates opened, the ESWA ladies were in full swing, dressed in their stunning traditional attire, radiating pride and joy. Their canopy was adorned with colourful fabrics and decorations that beautifully reflected the rich heritage of Enugu State.

The aroma of freshly prepared dishes like jollof rice, moi-moi, and of course, the ever-popular abacha, wafted through the air, enticing festival-goers to indulge in a culinary adventure. ESWA’s food and drinks were not just about sustenance; they were a celebration of culture, community, and the simple joy of sharing a meal.

Music and dance played a lively soundtrack to the day, with ESWA members showcasing traditional dances that had feet tapping and hearts soaring. The infectious energy was impossible to resist, and soon enough, even the shyest visitors found themselves clapping along and joining the fun.
