There is a popular Igbo saying: “Kelee Chineke maka ihe o meere, ọ ga-emekwa karịa,” which translates to, “Thank God for what he has done for you, and He will do even more.”

This sentiment was the highlight of the warm and sunny ESWA meeting on May 12, 2024, where two ladies brought an impressive array of drinks and beverages to express their gratitude.

Our able Provost, Mrs. Nkechi Nnamani, radiated joy following the recent wedding celebration of her second son, jubilant that he has found his “missing rib.” Meanwhile, our Sister, Mrs. Rose Nwachukwu, offered thanks for the continuous blessings and successes that God bestows upon each of our children.

As if anticipating a celebration, our host for the day, President Mrs. Florence Alozie, came well-prepared with party bags brimming to the full with delectable Enugu State delicacies, including packaged Abacha and fish, Akidi and Achicha, Jollof rice, Chicken, and more beverages.

The gathering was beautifully concluded by our resident Pastor, Mrs. Meg Ugwu, who led us in uplifting Thanksgiving songs and prayers.

As the day drew to a close, we all found ample reason to rejoice with the Lord’s Prayer:

“Nna anyi no n'eluigwe.

Ka otito diri aha gi.

Ka ochichi gi bia,

ka e mee uche gi n'uwa ka e si eme ya n'eluigwe.

Nye anyi tata, nri nke ubochi anyi.

Gbaghara anyi mmehie anyi ga dika anyi si

gbaghara ndi mehiere anyi.

E kwena ka anyi kwenye na nlanye,

ma zoputa anyi n'ajo ihe.

Amen”.
