One of the secrets to living a vibrant, youthful life is embracing a growth mindset - nurturing the habit of lifelong learning. We’re never too old, too busy, or too knowledgeable to learn something new. And let’s be honest, some of the best learning doesn’t happen in a classroom. Often, the richest knowledge is shared among friends and mentors in relaxed, enjoyable settings.

With this in mind, the ESWA 2023–2027 Executive Team proudly launched the ESWA Lectures: Laugh and Learn series — interactive talks focused on practical topics that empower and uplift our ESWA ladies. These sessions are designed to inspire personal growth, spark meaningful conversations, and most importantly, remind us that learning can (and should) be fun. Delivered by our very own ESWA sisters who are experts in their respective fields, these talks will be a regular feature of our gatherings — proving once again that opportunities to learn while we eat, laugh, and connect are everywhere.

For our May 2025 meeting, we had the pleasure of kicking off the Laugh and Learn series with our dear sister, Sister Chinyere Blessing Adibe - Nwogbo, a medical specialist in bladder and bowel health. Blessing led an engaging, interactive session on practical strategies for maintaining bladder and pelvic floor health — a topic relevant to so many of us. As you’ll see in the video highlights, the audience was fully engaged, learning valuable insights while sharing plenty of laughs along the way. The flurry of questions that followed was a clear sign that Blessing’s message truly resonated. Well done, Sister Blessing — we are so grateful for your expertise and your heartfelt delivery.

Of course, no ESWA gathering is complete without celebrating life’s special moments. This month, we rejoiced with our beloved Sisters Bibiana Anibueze and Christy Onodugo, who shared the wonderful news of her new grand babies’ births. In true ESWA tradition, they brought some refreshments to celebrate the arrivals of our newest little blessings. Sisters Bibiana and Christy, your joys are our joys. Huge congratulations to you Grandmas, to your families, and to our precious new babies. May the Almighty continue to bless us all with such beautiful news. Amen🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
