The sun shone gloriously on Sunday 10th August, blessing our ESWA meeting with warmth and joy.

We had much to celebrate!

Mrs Jacinta Omechi sparkled at her fabulous 80th, while Ochiora Aneke showed the youngsters how it’s done, turning an inspiring 89.

The ESWA youngsters born in June, July and August celebrated their birthdays with pride, praying that they too will be blessed like Ochiora Aneke and Mrs Omechi.

Ada Mazi Caroline Nebechi enriched us with a lively 15-minute “Laugh and Learn” talk on caring for the elderly (more on this in the next blog: 10 Joyful tips for a Healthy & Happy Life!).

Our hostess, Mrs Ngozi Okolo, treated us royally with Enugu state’s signature achicha dish, fragrant jollof rice, succulent chicken, and an array of drinks—from refreshing soft drinks to creamy Baileys over ice.

Finally, Sister Bene Obika, after 33 treasured years in ESWA, announced her heartfelt move to Edinburgh to be closer to family—though happily, she will remain an active out-of-town member.

She left a touching video message for the ladies, brimming with love and gratitude as she reflected on her three decades at ESWA👇🏾

Laughter, learning, and love filled the air.

ESWA’s spirit? Unstoppable, unbreakable, unforgettable.
